1 onion chopped and braised in a tablespoon of oil
add half kilo meaty soup bones
add half a packet rinsed green split peas
add half cup sugar beans (in this experiment i didnt presoak the beans but you can if you want to)
add 1 bunch of peeled carrots
add half bunch chopped celery
throw in about 2 litres boiling water.
This mixture remained on the stove boiling for 1 hour. I regularly check the pot to top up the water level. Note the pot is Full this lends to the heat retention as well.
Before putting into wonderbag puree the whole carrots and throw back into pot and add about 8 whole allspice and salt and pepper to taste.
Place in Wonderbag for at least 4-5 hours.When you remove the Pot from Wonderbag give it another 5-7 minute boil to disintegrate all the soft split pea and add some freshly chopped celery.
