Over the past year I have been overwhelmed with positive feedback from successful Wonderbag users. With every product comes criticism and skepticism and its so important to get beyond that to use the Wonderbag successfully. Here are some of the Negative Feedback or "Duds" i have received and this my "diagnosis" . If you have any feedback negative or positive please do not hesitate to contact me:
Firstly Read this checklist to determine whether you using the product correctly: 1. The pot and its lid must be made of metal. (Stainless steel, Aluminium, etc). Glass Lids will not suffice. Heat is retained better in metal. 2. Fill your pot with food when cooking with the Wonderbag. Use Size appropriate pot for the amount of food you cooking. 3. Do NOT open the pot and disrupt the cooking process while it should be in the Wonderbag. It will result in uncooked food. 4.Cook dense foods in your Wonderbag that has enough liquid to produce steam, eg stews, bredies, curries with potatoes, beans, carbo dishes like breyani, Akni, couscous, pasta. Experiment with Roast and more complicated foods later after you got the knack of it. 5. Be Forgiving with the Wonderbag at first. It takes trial and error to get your dishes perfect. Once you've mastered it you will cook no other way. 6.Reduce Water usage in wonderbag. Feedback from Clients: Query: The Wonderbag didnt keep my food warm. I placed the food into the Wonderbag when it was lukewarm and expected it to remain lukewarm for hours. Response: The Wonderbag requires the pot to be piping hot straight from the stove before placing it into the Wonderbag. At the lukewarm pot had lost most of its heat and therefore the food became cold. At times the pot will feel lukewarm but the food inside especially in the middle is already cold. It is Dangerous to put a lukewarm pot into the WOnderbag as it breeds bacteria. Rather place in fridge. Query: My meat didn't cook soft in Wonderbag however the potatoes were soft. Response After through the checklist with the client, i discovered that she added water while the pot was in the Wonderbag disrupting the cooking process resulting in tough meat. Query: My Wonderbag was burnt what do i do? Response: Your Wonderbag is not guaranteed for so burn take precaution when placing a pot inside. Place a thick newspaper/oven glove or towel in base. In the meantime patch it up and its good to go. Query: My Pasta came mushy in the Wonderbag Response: When cooking pasta in the Wonderbag the pasta just needs a boil and place in Wnderbag. If you leave too much water in the pasta it will continue to absorb the water and result in mushy pasta.. i would just bring to boil and place half cooked drained pasta into prepared sauce then place in Wonderbag to continue steaming to perfection. Please read the FAQ Section for further dos and donts to get the best benefit out of the Wonderbag.
