Coming from a traditional Indian background we enjoyed this dish very seldomly in our home while growing up but my mom would make a variety of dishes so that we are exposed to different cultures. My dad never cared for it and when this dish was prepared mom always had another small pot of curry on the side. All my siblings loved it and me and my family enjoy it very much especially on cold winter days. This is my rendition of a Kool Bredie. Braise 1 large Onion in 2 tablespoons of Oil Add 1 Kilo Lamb pieces And braise for 15 minutes on medium heat Add 4 Medium potatoes quartered and cook for further 10 minutes. Shred half a Cabbage and add to pot. Season with Salt and pepper, Stir well through ensuring that potatoes and meat are submerged into food. Also add 1 cup of water. Cook on medium heat for 5-7 min. Seal up Pot and place into Wonderbag Leave in Wonderbag for minimum of 2-3 hrs. Serve with Braised Rice.
