Being a Housewife /Fulltime mom/house executive has its own charms. I cant count how many times i'm on my way to run errands and then that nagging feeling hits me... "Have i left the stove on" It will nag me to a point where i turn around and drive home again. wasting valuable time. With the Wonderbag™ your stove only stays on for a few minutes to kick start the cooking process and you put it off and place your pot inside the Wonderbag™ which is a *Heat Retaining Slow Cooker* and uses NO ENERGY btw..So your Wonderbag™ does all the work and you never have to worry about that stove being on again.. Moeniera is the winner of our very first Wonderbag Revolution Competition which ran on Facebook. She won a Wonderbag duo (1x Standard Size Wonderbag and 1x small Wonderbag). Here are some pics of her first meal in the bag and this is what she had to say about it:' "Slm all well as you all know I won the wonderbag I so wanted to post pics of my first wonderbag experience and to my dismay I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to post in directly to the page...#sadface# but will send it to Fahmieda to post it but believe me its an experience to remember if you don't have it yet get it people it will your life much simpler" Braised Onion Browning Chicken Everything in, Chicken Potatoes and veggies From Stove to Wonderbag Out of Wonderbag Ready to eat ,,Yummmee This recipe book i received from my supplier. It is filled with recipes of many different origins. Hope you find something you like. Few things are more leka than a braai with friends and/or family. The huddling of the menfolk around the fire talking about *who knows what* probably what happened in Sewende laan. And the kitchen bustling with women happy to "not be cooking" but still making the salads and deserts.
Well...did you know that the Wonderbag™ can be your best friend when you want soft succulent hot meat at serving time. Here's how to do it. I'm not a braai expert but I've watched my hubby and think i have it figured out more or less. When you braaing lamb chops, use a medium heat fire and cook it to your liking (well done, medium etc) then take a metal pot and throw in a small amount of water in the bottom mixed with some of the leftover marinade. Place your meat in there as it comes off the fire and put the pot on the medium heat grill to allow the meat to steam on low. Put a lid .Then when you see its coming to boil..remove pot from heat and place in Wonderbag till your garlic rolls, sausage and other goetertjies are ready to serve. Then everything goes on at same time leka hot and delicious. Braise onions , add grated tomato , cayenne, tumeric , jeera, barishap, 2 pods cardoman garlic ginger paste. then add washed mince and cubed potato and fresh coriander OOps almost forgot the frozen peas.. After borreling for 15 minutes remove from stove..note the potatoes still raw? 1 hr later .food ready potatoes soft ..quick and easy delicious and nutricious. mince curry. with roti (WHich im hopeless at making btw..always comes hard. Im not a "Winter Person". The main thing is because of all the leka warm irresistable puddings I tend to make ...."mos vir die Kinders" lol. On a Winter's day i whipped up this yummy Traditional Malva pudding Topped with vanilla custard.. I Kept the malva pudding warm in my Wonderbag. *Please note* I used a glass dish for the pudding..so it didnt continue cooking in the bag..instead it released heat quicker than a metal dish would..So it just kept it warm.
This is what the soup looked like when i put it into the Wonderbag. The mixture of Soup Bones, Onion Split peas, celery, sugar beans, carrots and whatever root veggies you may want to add goes on the stove and boils for half an hour on high. It stays in the bag for at least 5 hours. After which you remove from bag and you will find the carrots soft. I usually remove the carrots ad puree it and throw back into pot for another quick boil if you like. Everything else in the pot will be completely cooked Ready to serve. Usually Soup takes hours to prepare and the stove must be watched throughout the time.. Now you only need half an hour stove time!! a HUGE energy saving and time saving!
Ive been using my Wonderbag for about a while now and am fully aware of its capabilities but somehow it always manages to amaze me. Today it was 34 degrees in Cape Town more or less, and i thought id take along some ice suckers when i fetch my kiddies at school. At the first pickup at school the suckers remained in car and i went for prayer. when i returned to the car the first kid got a sucker..frozen as if it comes from the fridge (after being in the car for almost 1 hr..then at 2nd pickup the 2nd kid got a sucker..still frozen solid. Amazing indeed. :) Keep your ice cream and suckers frozen get your Wonderbag for up to 6 hrs!! call/whatsapp 072 834 3888 [email protected]
We all know that hospital food is not nearly as good as home cooked food, and our loved ones who are all alone in hospital at times yearn for Home cooked meals. Also at times the hospital kitchen closes at 5pm so when they get hungry at 9pm the grumbles will have to wait till the morning for something to eat :( Take your loved ones a warm meal in a Small Wonderbag and it will remain hot all night. No need to disturb the nurses for reheating.
